Ozzie's on the track. For spinning reels, lay the spool with the label facing up, then start reeling line onto your spool. After 10-15 turns, stop and look at how the line is coming off the spool to your rod tip. If it looks all twisted up, more than a couple twists, flip the spool over then reel it on. It does make a difference for spinning reels. For baitcasters put the spool on a pencil and reel it off the spool that way.
