do you know what it cause my 60 mercury do have problem with water pump whatever i goign to lake and there have some weeds in water and it took weeds inside and i have to take cover off and take tube off then start it up and it is work i am sick of it every time i do it again i wonder there have another way

I don't understand what actually is happening. Usually all motors have a plastic grill to filter inlet water right at the intake.

Is yours gone and weeds go through ?
