Hooking up electric start???

I have a Evinrude Big Twin 40HP that I will be putting on my boat and it currently doesnt have the electric start hooked up

when I got the motor it came with a key switch, and cables, and maybe a selenoid too any help as far as making the system work would be great Thanks

Does it have an electric starter on it?

Yah the guy I got the motor from used it in his boat with electric start

Then it should be as easy as connecting the harnesses to the correct plug (which should be straight forward enough) ahd running with it if it was all connected before.

What kind of connectors does the harness have on it? Does the motor have the mating connector on it already?

be sure to check to see if you have a charging unit on motor too or be prepared to charge battery regular.
