WalleyeGod
Chomp:I see hsolist is still selling reloading equip, I thought they quit, but noticed the other day they still do. I have bought some individual items for reloading through them awhile back. Like I mentioned go in with a shooting/hunting buddy that has a mutual interest in reloading. Whether it comes from Scheels or buying equipment from someone who is getting out of reloading it makes the whole process less expensive and more fun.Be prepared to designate some of your workbench space as well as shelf space for the setup and supplies. Keep the area neat and tidy. One friend has a setup in his basement. I have it setup in my garage. Just something to think about logistically speaking.FWIW: If you are up this way sometime, Fergus Falls, you are welcome to see our setup. Otherwise, there should be someone closer that can give you the scoop.Good luck,WG
waskawood
hsolist still sells reloading equipment but they put a stop to components like brass and bullets. I bought my .204 yesterday. Finally decided on the Savage model 12 low profile and ordered a 6.5X20 scope. I sold (gave away)my reloading equipment when I moved to Starbuck 6 years ago, thinking my hunting-reloading days were over. Big mistake. Now I am buying everything back at 10 times the price. Oh well, it's only money.........
demonjigger
so if we had your money,,,we'd burn ours? Doubt it. JK. You sound like a friend of mine. He's sold me some stuff and now he's kicking himself. Keep us posted on the 12. I was thinking of getting a .223 in a savage predator. I have a bushmaster right now, but i can't control myself behind an auto loader. I want a bolt for a less expensive .223(expending ammo wise). good luck/have fun. ChompChomp_YANK
walleyegod I have seen a few things on hsolist also. I need to figure out what I need. Then I could watch on hsolist
waskawood
Chomp,Be careful on hsolist. I find that I can buy new from Midway or localy cheaper than I can buy used on hsolist. Prices are crazy.
ChompChomp_YANK
Waskawood I am going to check out the wolfs den a local gun shop they carry everything I would need and are close by if i have any ?'s. And yes I know how some things can sell on hsolist for more than you can buy them brand new for. You have to know when to stop bidding. I will probably go in and have them set me up with everything I need and buy it all at once. The buddy I hunt with shoots the same guns/ammo so we will split the price. WalleyeGod
Chomp:Good idea checking with your local shop. They can get you headed in the right direction.Waska:Good choice on gun and variable power optics. You will like it I am sure. Keep us posted on your reloading for it.You mention Starbuck, just wondering if you are aware of the Grant County Shooters Association (GCSA) range N. of Elbow Lake? Not sure how far that would be for you exactly but they have a 100/200 yard rifle range and just recently completed the long range berm and shooting shelter which gives you 300/400/500 and 600 yard shooting opportunities. Very nice range. FWIW.WG

waskawood
Here is my Savage model 12 varmint low profile and a 6.5 by 20 scope. Now if it would not snow 10 inches every weekend maybe I could get out to the range and work up a new recipe that it likes.
fishwithteeth
I have a M77 and it likes Remington brass, Rem benchrest primers, Hornady V-max 40 gr bullets, and 28.0 gr. of Varget. But, as stated before, you should work up to this load.
