5 gal. propane tank

I just bought the 5 gal. tank for my heater and the 5 ft hose so I don't need all those 1 gal tanks and the pain that comes with them. Do I need to buy a fuel filter to go with this?

It is highly recommended. I had a buddy use a 20#er on his buddy heater and he did not use the filter and it got plugged up. Cheap insurance.

I have used this set up for over 20 years and have never had a problem.

My 2 cents worth, However I am sure a filter would not hurt though.

What heater? Mr heater reccomends using the filter with the big and little buddy. No filter is necessary if you have the heater cooker.

I've never used a filter with propane even with 100s hooked to Hall Burner that my BIL made in his shop.
