Advice for glass kayak with some stress cracks?

Hi all,

I bought a used Carstens Pintail kayak and it has some lengthwise stress cracks along the bottom. It will still float without leaking, but I can tell it was probably from people stepping in it while it was on concrete or something. I can also tell it was left outside with bottom up facing the sun for a decent length of time.

Any advice on how to fix it? Will it just be layer or glass and resin? I have a buddy who does auto work and fiberglass work, should I just bring to him or is there somethign special about glassing a kayak style boat?
