Tabs on parked camper

I've got a question for all of you parked at a seasonal resort. If you leave the camper over winter and don't haul it down the road, how many of you buy the tabs for it. I've heard if you don't tab it, they can make you pay some other kind of a tax on it?

we buy them every year. The county came to the resort last year and gave people warnings that did not have them

We keep our camper on our own private land and use it our summer cabin. We keep it tabbed because we were told it could be taxed as a permanent residence otherwise. Not sure if it would be the same on someone else's land..

Most seasonals have it in their bylaws that you must have current tabs and keep the plate in a visible area.

I think if it is not tabbed it can be taxes by the county as personal property sams as a mobile home. If it is on someone elses land they may be taxed.
