Detroit Lakes had a winter fireworks display on 2/16. I thought I'd try photographing them. Bad planning and lack of understanding of light and time issues caused me to fail badly on most of the pictures blush.gif. While changing settings furiously, I happened to catch a couple of unexpected images.

I caught a couple of shells just as they exploded, but at 1/8 sec. all the trails remain uneffected by gravity, so they didn't have the expected arcing trails. Kind of cool.
