Garden Seeds indoors

Those 72 cell trays are great for starting plants in, but plants can get root bound in a hurry if they've been in those cells for a month or so. It may be good to transplant into larger containers to allow the roots to spread out more. One way to do that is get some big cups (like 20 oz or so) and fill those most of the way with potting soil, then transplant your seedlings into the bigger cups. For tomatoes, I trim off the seed leaves, then bury more of the stem in the soil. On tomatoes, roots will sprout along the buried part of the stem.
