A friend and I have decided we are going to make a trip out to Montana this fall to hunt birds. We are looking at early - mid october. Thinking of hitting the mountains for a few days of ruffed/blur grouse and then to the eastern half for Sage grouse, Huns, Sharptails, etc. Any suggestions on places to hunt, weather conditions, etc would be greatly appreciated. We'll have to pretty good pointing dogs with us and are wondering if there any rattlesnakes to worry about?
