I'm almost positive that both units use the same frequency, so yes you'll get interference if the transducers are close enough to read each other. If you have one on your transom and one on your bow you should be good to about 30 fow, but if you have them both on your transom you'll have interference all the time.

You could go into your 522c and use the menu option for stop chart, that will stop the transducer from sending pulses and then you could use the 522c as a gps only and use the x91 as your sonar.
