CAJ
Was just wondering if Tim the Minnesota hunter got a good price for your Yotes you got around Scobey MT. Glad to see somebody doing good the first trip up here. caj
Tim_Anderson
CAJ,Did we meet you out there? We sure did meet alot of nice people out there...actually enjoyed that about as much as the hunt itself. It's some beautiful country...beautiful ranches, and some very helpful/hospitable people out there. This was our first serious predator hunt. Our aim was to try to get somewhere where there was good numbers of yotes, and less hunting pressure. We saw a fair number of dogs, and definitely learned alot. We also found there is a definite learning curve to this sport, and we should have taken a few more out.The dogs we did shoot were not the greatest quality. One had mange, no tail, and probably wouldn't have made it through the winter. A couple more were rubbed pretty good. The nicest one I sniped with a 22-250, hit it in the spine/neck, and about took it's head off. We did shoot a pretty nice fox too. I left the furs with my hunting partners (OMG did they stink...the animals I mean). They had a connection with a trapper in their neighborhood, and were going to pass them off to him to see what he could do with them. I was just pretty much glad to be rid of them.Overall, we had a great time. We'd like to come back, and probably will. Just wish it wasn't so far away!Tim
CAJ
Tim Yous should be here right now. It is -20 with a 25 mile an hour wind. Makes the Yotes slow up a little. HA HA. Still no snow. Couple freinds of mine shot 6 the day before yesterday. Was nice and just before the storm rolled in. They were on the move. One had the mange, and the rest were good. Hope to see you out here again.
