bae501
Has anyone ever driven a small motorhome on the ice? If so how much ice was needed?
iffwalleyes
I haven't ever driven a motorhome on the ice but the track vans that they have at lake of the woods with all of the undercarriage have to be about as heavy as a RV. I know that they say they like to have 19" to run on at Rockey point.------------------Grip it and Rip itIFFWalleyesI Fish For Walleyes
Flash King
Have seen a number of motorhomes out on the ice (24"plus) in well traveled areas. The main problem I have witnessed is getting on and off.Ice is usually a lot thinner next to the shore especially a well traveled access points.Witnessed a nice 24ft break through while he was exiting the ice-he was NOT HAPPY! I personally would advise against it - the expense of trying to tow it out isn't worth it.------------------
