Late Season Honker Hunting!!!

It seems the season never ends in SD and I took full advantage of the extended gift. I have been out to Pierre for one weekend and I just got back from a 3 day weekend hunting south of Pierre. For the most part this weekend was much better hunting with limits everyday. The other weekend in Pierre was tougher hunting with very educated birds. This weekend, we didnt even see a hunter and the birds acted accordingly. All together 47 geese were harvested and a lot of memories were made. We had plenty of land to choose to hunt and had some in your face action. Unfortunately, this will be my last goose hunt of the season because the season ends the 8th. All in all a great season with over 6 months of goose hunting. Gotta love SD!!!

Wow....that looks like a lot of fun. I didn't realize the season went so long over there in SD. Nice pictures too.
