Trainer Prices

I plan to do more specific research on the subject, but I was curious about general prices. My 3 year old Griffon has a few areas that need polishing. I was considering sending him to a professional for a few months this summer. Work load this summer will leave me very little time for training and I really want him to take that next step as a hunter.

Here is the list that needs polishing:

1) Steady to flush and shoot

2) Duck retrieves through decoys

3) Tracking on command

If I sent him to a trainer for 2-3 months, what would an average price tag be? Not looking for price quotes, just a ball park idea of the costs.

I have been working my 10 month Griffon at Pine shadows in Brainerd MN and am very pleased with the whole program... Morgan and Mark work with all breeds both retrievers and pointers even though they breed springers...

Thanks for the info, but I should clarify. I am not looking for any trainer names. I am just curious on a ball park figure on what it would cost to send my dog to a good trainer for 2 or 3 months. What is an average cost per month? $500? $1000? Does that include birds?

I have never used a trainer, so I do not have the slightest idea on the cost.

Around $800 to $850 per month would be normal and that includes boarding and birds...
