I was fool enough to go out today. As Kelly says, I'm just not right. Well, the good news is that Weaver and Young have plenty of very nice ice. I had between 6.5 and 8" everyplace. Fishing was rough as I've ever found it and the winds were brutal. Got some good exercise. No good keepers and tons of little perch. It was making ice all day. Two odd things happened. The fish would come in but if I took one (any size) out of the hole, it went totally dry for the day. The other was that when I gas bubble came by, the fish ran off. I got tired of that and drilling new holes. Sure wish I had a gas auger! My elbows are sore from the repetitve motion. Just a dusting of snow on them today. You could see where it broke up and blew to shore. Saw plenty of fox tracks but no coyote. Used to be the opposite. Guess I'll have to real stuff tomorrow. Nuts!
