Pondering prop's

Guest

Question

Rob or whoever is prop savy I need a bit of help here.

I need to re-stock up on props again for my “77” pin drive 25 hp Evenrude used on a 15.5' fiberglass tri hull primarily used on rivers. I most commonly use a (LL) 9-1/4 x 11.

I am wondering if an 8 (HL) or a 10 (HL) would be any better on rivers?

Should I stick with the 9-1/4 x 11 prop, or not?

What would be my best option and why?

I would also like to know of anyone in the Fargo area that rebuilds props, or is a drop off spot to get them sent off and done?

Thanks,

Backwater,
Going to one of the props with lower pitch will give you more power at low end and give you a slower trolling speed. But at top end it will increase your RPM's that could be bad news for a old motor. If you are happy with the hole shot and top rnd with the 11 pitch I would stay with it.

I would apreciate any recomondations on a good prop shop or drop off spot in the Fargo/Moorhead area. If anyone has any tips for me that would be great.

Price wise for new props the Cabela's on line shop looks to be the best bet. They do offer a rebuild service too so maybe that is the way I may need to go?

Thank-ya-Thank-ya-Thank-ya,

Ed
