I am trying to make a lure patterned after the Double Cowgirl. Can anyone tell me how the "flashaboo" is attached to the wire shaft? Is there a collar under that stuff?

I don't have one handy but I believe that they use a chrome weight that has a recess for attaching skirt material with a piece of surgical tubing. I've used that weight and small zip ties to build mine.

I myself would contact the guys at Thorne Brothers and see what they would suggest. Another idea would be to contact the people at Stamina inc. They sell all the stuff for making lures like that. I would think they would have the best ideas.

I think what you are looking for is called a conehead. If Thorne Brothers doesn't have them then try Netcraft; product number 360-110-002.
