Dave,

Go and do a search for Lake Nebagamon and go to their HSOforum and all the info my be on there. I'm thinking of hitting it but that is still up in the air. They usually have a pretty good turnout for this. Plan on alot of sleds, 4-wheelers and trucks running everywhere out there. Your best bet would be left and aways down from the beach to get away from the main crowd. Good luck out there and if I'm there look for a green Ford pick-up with a purple otter magnum lodge, stop by and say hi.

Are you talking about the underwater point (which the marker bouys) across the lake from the beach Cheffrey, or further down to the east, toward Nebagamon creek? I tried down there a few days ago and caught one walleye at dark and two hammer-handles.

The area I would try would be the leg that goes to the East on the southern shore along the weed lines, this area will produce pike, walleye, smallies and possibly gills. For crappies I would try in the 30 F.O.W. area in that eastern area. I would stay away from the beach area because that is where they usually have the concessions and awards . Use shiners or suckers on tip -ups for the pike and walleye and I normally do well for crappies on plain brass aberdeen hook with a crappie minnow. But anything glow also helps because of the stained water.

Good luck and hope to see ya out there.

Okay yeah, my buddy has fished that for walleye with tipups with some success. I like to drift along that whole shoreline with lindy rigs in the summer. The second point (it's more of a reef really) is commonly called "the lattice" because of the house on shore with the lattice that it's out from. I fish there quite a bit with minimal success.

what about panfish? i see that across from the beach there is a little underwater point that comes out and is about 5 feet deep. would that be good for panfish?

I've caught a few in the summer there, they were surfacing everywhere around the boat for a while right at dark. I was catching crappie after crappie on cranks... but I fish there a lot, so this was more of a one time deal. I went back the next night and there was nothing.
