lowrance hd maps

Has anyone used the lowarnce hd units? How detailed are these? Can you still use a lakemaster chip in them? Do the contours show up as numbers or lines like the lakemaster? Is lake of the woods on these? Got a steal yesterday at cabelas on line and bought the lcx-38hd for 1249.00 Hope i like the maps. The last time i waited on a deal it was gone the next day not this one!!!

meathunter - you can use lakemaster or navionics chips in it. I don't believe the basemaps preloaded in the unit have any contours. Seems like a decent price!
