bmc2b
Is there any way to fill/top off my 5lb tank from my 20lb tank? Do they sell hoses/connectors for this?
0 federline
If you actually try this (I wouldn't, personally, there are people who get paid to transfer flammable fuel under pressure ), under the best conditions, you won't be able to top it off, you'll just equalize the pressure between the two tanks. If the 20 pounder is full, and the 5 pounder is not, you will not get a full 5 pounder out of the deal, it will only become partially full, or if the 20 pounder is not full, you may actually lose fuel to the 20 pounder. 0 Sandmannd
I wouldn't advise doing this at all. I would just take it in somewhere to fill it.
0 icefishingdude
They do sell and you can do this operation. My uncle owns the hose/adapter and has refilled several tanks this way, possibly even the one-pounders. However, everyone's right about the safety issues. If you are going to do this please take caution and invest some time in learning how to preperly connect and fill the tanks, after all we are talking about flammable-pressurized products.
