Guest
My 10-year Vex seems to be having a problem with the motor that drives the LED display. Bottom continually moves back and forth by about 5-6 feet. At first I thought this was being caused by a weak battery, but got a new battery and it is getting worse every time I use it. I suspect the motor is going as I hear a wierd noises when this is happening. Can this be repaired???TIA,dave
Guest
Odds are good it is in need of a new brush kit. They run abut $15 if you do all the work yourself, but it requires a fair amount of soldering. You can send it in to Vexilar and have them look it over and service it, should be back in a week or less. Guest
Thanks for the info guys.Based on your input, I took a look on the Vexilar HSOforum and was able to find the brush kit ($15 is correct). I also scanned the instructions. Looks too involved for me so I will sending it in for service on Monday. Thanks again,Dave
