0 Surface Tension Posted December 27, 2007 Share Posted December 27, 2007 You sharpen the beveled edge. That would be the side that is inside the radius. Do not touch the backside, at most you can take the ridge off with a buffer. They make a stone with a guide that you pinch over the blade. The guide will run over the backside and the stone will sharpen the edge. I can't tell you how good it works. They will need to be razor sharp. IMO if your going to use a hand auger those are the worst alternative there is. Only good thing about them is they will open an old hole. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The last i paid was $9.95 which included return postage. If you can't find it let a post and i'll find the old box with his address for you.
