I fished through the ice on two relatively small, shallow ponds in Johnson County this past Wednesday and Thursday. I found about 2.5" to 3" of good ice, and plenty of bluegills to keep me busy, along with a few largemouth and crappie. What Thursday and today's snow will do to this new ice remains to be seen, but it won't be good...

  This northern boy needs a little help with this one. Dried up kill hole in the duck timber? Quicksand that all the deer fell into? Cool lighting in a forest that’s so different from ours? I’ve never been in the AR woods before but you’ve arrived by the looks of it. Good luck.
