Pipestone Lake area conditions

The small lakes in the area are all froze now. The deeper trout lakes still have open water. There is about 10-12" of snow on the ground. How are the conditions on Off Lake? Anyone fishing yet?

There is anywhere from 4-8" with some slush popping up in spots. No one has been out there yet, but I am planning on getting out this weekend and will post a report.

Off lake has good ice everywhere and an inch or 2 of slush in spots, nothiing that creates any troubles. Went out yesterday afternoon and managed to pull some crappies out of a new spot.

Went out for a couple hours this afternoon on Off Lake. Caught more than enough for supper and they were all 12-14"s. Even got a small walleye.

Caught some more nice crappies of Off Lake again today, best in A.M. Pipestone is completely froze. Travel not reccommended yet for anyone unfamiliar with the lake. Everything will be good to go for Jan 1.
