Geese at Talcot

Has anybody been seeing any geese at or around the talcot refuge?? thanks

Yes, they are keeping a spot in the lake open. There are also many on Lime Lake in Avoca.

Is there enough to make a trip there and hunt them or isnt there many left??

I guess that depends on how far you are travelling and if you can get permission to hunt them in the fields.

Personally, I'd take a road trip to hunt them. I don't know the count on Talcott, but (I'm guessing here) I'd say about 500 or so honkers are roosting on Lime in Avoca.

My buddy's been down there for the last 2 days trying to get on some fields around talcot with no luck. They are all spoken for already. You would probly have better luck geting on some fields near Lime, not as much pressure.
