New lake/NEED HELP!

I am going to fish a new lake on monday near my home. The lake has a max depth of 50 feet and it drops off quickly on the west side of the lake. There are crappies,bluegills,northerns,bass, and i think there are some perch in it but not many. All the other sides of the lake it drops off slowly. There are some deadheads (logs sticking up in the water) in some shallower water my friend said. Can anybody please tell me where i should fish and what i should use on this littler lake??????

Need more info,
it might be easier to post this is the area forum where this lake is located.

However, what is water clarity, size of lake, are there points, inside turns on the steeper dropping side with a shallow flat on top of those breaks? What species are you fishing for?
