Muskie Rule Change

Just heard from our local (Park Rapids) DNR office and the proposed rule change for a statewide December 1st season closing date will be approved December 15th. However, the rule won't go into effect until 2008, meaning the Minnesota muskie season will close for the 2008 season on December 1st, 2008. Thought everyone would want to know.

It was signed and put into effect and will take place THIS year. The season is closed as of the 15th.

Hi all,

I'll clarify tomorrow with the DNR but I believe that it is in fact effective for the 2007 season as of the 15th of December. Last I heard was that upon signing it was in effect for '07.

The info I got from our local DNR fisheries division supervisor was sent to him via email from state headquarters yesterday.
