HEATER / HEAT QUESTION

What is the differences in heat types generated from a lp stove top unit from a regular furnace unit, or sunflower?

I have a stove top (2) burner sitting around doing nothing that I'm thinking of trying in a 6 X 8 foam skid house I bought from Jay Soderbloom. Provide a heat source and cooking ability. Word is once these houses are brought up to temp they will hold with only a candle light so not much burn time seems to be needed. Will be very interesting to find out this season.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Don't use anything but a ventilated furnace in a solid insulated house. I had a sunflower heater that worked great in portable house that isn't 100% airtite but when I used it in our 8x8 solid house, I darn near killed my wife and I. We lost so much oxygen that our lantern went out before I realized what was wrong.

The house has (2) 2" vents in it and I already bought two more larger ones I can control that I will install soon.

It draws good air in those two vents but more is better.

My concern was if a cook stove type burner is same nature as a blue flame type ventless heater. Any type of furnace in this thing will be overkill as its basicly a big box of insulation. Never having a foam house I'm looking for a simple heat source that wont create alot of condensation inside.

Be careful of the carbon monoxide poisoning, that has long term effects on the body.If i were u I would only use a vented heater but I understand the cost issue. Just make sure you have plenty of fresh air and exhaust holes!

I have plenty of ventilation in the house so I'm not worried of that issue.

Being I dont have finished walls in it as it's all foam I'm leaning towards a floor mounted 10 -12,000 btu NuWay type stove with the 3" vent pipe. I can run it up to within 6" of the ceiling and go out the side as it has a Rubber roof outside, foamed under inside. That in itself will be big time over kill but what can you do.

I put a small heater in it the other night I use to keep water pipes thawed @ times under my sink in the winter.

The little 4" X 8" heater (electric) had the 6 X 8 house rather warm within (30) minutes and held it for over and hour after I pulled it.

Isn't going to take much it seems and it's not the type of house to drop a $300 - $500 heater in.
