Hunting on the Croix

I was fishing with a couple of buddies down by the Prescott bridge (north side). We heard a lot of shots going and had a big flock of geese land by us. Is it legal to hunt anywhere on the Croix? Where would you go on the south side of the bridget to hunt and is it any good? Heard lots of shots over there, but with the fog I'm not sure if they were just sky busting or what.

Wouldn't the south side of the bridge be the Mississippi? Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong bridge. If it was coming from south of Prescott I would think that you might be hearing North Lake or at least the northern edges of Gores Pool WMA perhaps.
