My Last Weekend

Anyone have any suggestions for my last weekend on the open water? I really want to break my biggest catch of the year which was a 20 inch 5 pounder, I'll be fishing a small chain of lakes just north or Brainerd. My question is since I have not done much fall fishing what should I use to be targeting bigger bass, and since I'm fishing a chain of lakes is it better to fish by the channel with moving water or focus on whats left of weeds and steep drops? Thanks for any info.

I'm more of a weeds guy in the fall... Large crankbaits and large spinnerbaits are my go-to.. and then once found a fish a jig-pig.
