Theres a 2003 JD L110 42", 17.9 horse Hydro with a bagger for sale locally here. 550 hours and they are asking $650.00 for it. It sounds reasonable.

I dont need it, but my BIL was looking for a mower.

Any experience with this mower anyone?

Sorry i haven't kept up with the model numbers but I believe the 100 series is sold at Home Depot. If you have a small town yard these mowers can do the job. But if you mow a lot or plan on doing other things the Home Depot John Deere mowers are built with a lot less quality and I would vote against it.

Doing a quick "google", the model from Home Depot is LA110, with the extra "A" in there.

The straight L110, used runs about $900 from the websites I check, so your $650 doesn't sound too bad. Any idea why they're selling??

I picked up a 2005 L100 (which is the same mower, but the 100 is a manual tranny and the 110 is hydro). I picked it up for $800 (40 hours on it and bagger included), from a couple who was moving into a townhome and needed to sell it quick.

I spent some time researching this model and found several negative posts (through various websites) and then contacted a local dealer who basically said the same thing as Down2earth. If you're thinking of using it commercially, it probably won't last very long. Since I have a little over .5 acre to mow I felt this would work perfectly for my needs (and the price was right). I have had no issues at all with the mower, runs great, ride is smooth, and the bagger makes for easy clean up.

For the price you mentioned, I think it's a good deal.

Good luck!

Thanks guys. I also did the search on it, and found some things that people didnt like about them, but overall, the reviews were OK.

She has a acreage, and bought a Toro ZTR.

She said the mower was not able to do the work at the acreage, but nothing was wrong with it.

My BIL wants one for a corner city lot, approx 125x125.

Should last a lifetime under those conditions, shouldnt it.

Thanks,

Thanks for the info.

They paid her the full $650, and still felt like a thief grin.gif

Very nice mower for the cost.

They used my truck and ramps to go get it, and even mowed my yard when they got back here. Mows like champ!.. Everybody is happy.
