Guest
I am planning two trips to MN this winter. One in Feb and one in March. My question is if I buy a year long shelter liscense in Feb, will it still be good for the trip in March? Or do the year long shelter liscenses expire at the end of Feb also? Thanks for the help. rmh2o
They expire on 2/28 so you would need a new one on 2/29/

Matt D
All licenses expire on Feb. 28. You'd probably be better off getting a 7-day shelter tag for $20 (vs. $34 annual), and a 72 hr ($21) or 7-day ($25) fishing license (vs. $35 annual); At least on your first trip since you'll need new ones the second trip. What you get in March will depend on whether you plan on coming up later in the year since those will be good 'til Feb. 28, 2004.------------------Best FISHES,Matt
Guest
Thanks for the info.Looks like I'll buy the year long liscense on the March trip since I will use it again the next winter.I always buy a year long fishing liscense since we try to come up for the walleye opener in the spring. Maybe if the IRS is nice to me I'll splurge and buy the lifelong liscense. If not for me, then maybe for the kid. Thanks again.
