Jim Almquist
I would like to know what the width and height of your hyfax runners are and do they seem to take the wear and tear of tar and rough ice. I would like hyfax or get some UHMW and fasten them myself. The hyfax kit seems to be a cheaper route but the UHMW is suppose to last forever. HavocTec
I used the UHMW on mine. Its about 4" wide x 1/3" thick and the lenth of the sled. I counter sunk the holes and riveted them to the sled. I got the UHMW for free so the price was right.Hope this helps... Also yes does not get tore up on the tar. Shack
My otter Med. is getting to the point of no return! I have had it for about 5 years now and I have been thinking of getting hyfax runners for the bottom of my sled! I run her over tar, concrete, sand and god knows what? She looks good, but I should be proactive before I wear out bottom! I have buddies who have the hyfax and they say it is the cat's azz!
