Gator Slayer
Anyone every seen/been in one of these? It looks like it would be great for small water. Plus it's aluminum so it should hold up long term. Debating on this and a carsten/otter. http://www.godevil.com/Pirogue_and_DuckBoat.htmlPS check out the surface drive videos, that looks like fun. BoxMN
Looks interesting, bet it would float if you spit on sidewalk and launched it We have two Carstens Puddlers, and love them to death. Also use some of the bigger Carstens at friends place. I really like the Puddlers for shallow water and hiding and ease of transport and dragging. All good choices, but I really love how the Puddlers are so small yet so stable and can hold a lot (250# guy, backpack, 30 weighted decoys) and still float in about an inch and half of water. mpester
250# guy and ONLY 30 decoys? I need to use your scale (just kidding) and your brother must not have been with you that day if you used ONLY 30 decoys. I am heading out west to do a little scouting and goose hunting today with a friend. I hope I find some ducks on one of the smaller ponds I am going to look at so that I do not need to get to Pelican at 2AM next Saturday just to get a parking spot. Time to get the boat hooked up to the truck.
BoxMN
That is with the Puddler - one - then add the other Puddler with another fat guy and 30 decoys and you got something Hey joker , I am an honest 250-255, and that is the biggest I have been - but I do need to lose some... holy cow that is a lot. Erik got a fiesty little (relatively) 32" ski today... and he didn't let me fish walleye, that jerk.
