Black Hills Fire Danger?

Will be hunting in the northern hills early October, near Spearfish. Just wondering if they have had any moisture there recently. We have had limited access in the past when very dry.

Shooter I'll be out there at the same time. My son will be hunting for elk. The fire risk is always hi in the hills due to the lighting and pine niddle drop. Be smart don't park in grass. I've hunted around spearfish and bell for many years. I would hunt towards wyoming foothills or out by vail for a lawerance county tag. goodluck, SDSTEVE

We actually have a private ranch that we've hunted for about 30 years. Whitewood River valley. Archery deer, turkeys and trout. Best week of the year!
