HELP! Duck Hunting

I am looking for a place to hunt around the Newport/Cottage Grove area. Does anyone know where it might be legal to waterfowl hunt in this area?

Not asking for any "honey holes" - just some advice. We just moved here and wondering.

I'd head up to 500 Lafayette Road in St. Paul and pick up a PRIM map. It will show you where to get on the Mississippi, which is probably your best option. Be prepared for lots of people though.
