Minnesota Fall Turkey Hunting License

Question: I did NOT apply for the fall turkey hunt this year, is it still possible to purchase a left over tag for archery and be able to legally hunt turkey? I looked in the regulations and it's not real clear to me if I can buy an over the counter archery turkey tag if I did not originally apply for the fall hunt. It says it might be possible to do that but did not state whether applying originally is a requirement.

I had the same question, and apparently the answer is no. There is not an over the counter archery provision for the fall hunt as there is in the spring. This was told to me by the DNR information officers when I called.

Thanks Joel. I was out last night asking for permission to bow hunt...I didn't get permission to hunt deer but was told I could hunt turkey if I wanted to. I'll have to put in for the spring turkey hunt.
