Depths for yellow perch at this time of year?

In algae tinted lakes, what depths to yellow perch typically frequent at this time of year? Do they get shallow, or are they hugging bottom structure down deep? Thanks.

I wish we had some lakes in the metro area that have keeper sized perch. In the past few years I have only caught 1 perch big enough to keep and that was a 9 incher I caught on Forest Lake this spring.

I don't know about now, but a couple weeks ago when the water was still 84 degrees I got a couple on a dropshot in 17 fow. It was the middle of the day, hot bright sun and they were clinging tight to a steep break.

Phalen Lake has perch nice ones too,also good eyes at low or no light,if ya have a small boat, canoe try the midlake narrows bars or late at night the public beach castin cranks! You'll be supprized!!!
