How to attack a new lake

Lets say you're on a new lake. No information available but a lake map and the knowledge that whatever species you target is available. You have available any other electronics or gear you usually do. Where on the lake do you start or what do you look for first?

Early winter, inside and points of weedlines. For anything. Mid winter, sunken islands and mid lake sturture like flats and extended fingers. Late winter is the same as early winter.

Drill a lot of holes till you find them. Mobility is the key.

I look for the biggest concentration of houses and drill right in the middle of them! That will make you some friends!

Its all really going to depend on time of year, and species you are after. A book could be written on the subject... But to answer easy.. I look for weeds early season, and then deep holes and rocks as the season progresses.
