Five Island Lake

Has anyone fished Five Island Lake near Emmetsburg? The Iowa Hot Spots book makes the lake sound pretty interesting.

Is it worth driving an hour to give it a try?

Five Island is a good walleye lake...I dont fish it much, but have some friends who do and do very well at times...although I have not heard any recent reports...

my pops and i went out there last summer and fished around, there are a lot of good drop offs from when they dredged it, but we didn't have too much luck. I think if one got to know the lake there could be some wallye to be had.
