Got my new auger today . Stikemaster 8" with 2hp tech. engine; got it from a discount sporting goods store for much cheaper than I could find it even on the Internet... and I got the LAST ONE! All fired up about using it! Picked up a pair of ice spikes and some new line too, which gets spooled tommorow. 2" on a pond by my house; (someone made a hole) and passed the 20lb throw-rock test. Bring on the ice! I gotta new toy! ...I read the saftey notes and manual too of course... no scarves when I'm operating it... Bring on the Artic blast!

You will be very happy with that auger, it is a work horse. I've had one sinnce 1995 and the only problem I had was when somebody else was starting it, they pulled the rope out too far and it stuck.
