Vexilar Pro Pack Video

Ya, I almost ordered a FL-18 Propack form Reeds today, but it was getting to late. I plan on buying it on monday, and am going to try using it here on open water, kind of as a portable. I hope it does a good job for me, but think I will end up needing to anchor really well or getting a drift sock. I have loved the segments I have seen on In-fisherman tv. I figure it will give me a little more confidance on deep water winter fishing, being able to see exactly where the lure it and how fish react to it. Also want to try drifting with big trout lures for bass with it to see how many lookers the luers really get, should be interesting.

Buddy of mine used to use his FL8 on his small river boat. He'd fasten the ducer to a plank, clamp the plank to his stern and the Vex would read at all speeds. Took a little jockeying each time to make sure the plank/ducer was at the right level to the water, but it worked well.

I already have a Lowrance x-15 to look at the fishies at speed, but it has broken twice on me. Thw Vexilar will only be used when still. I did think about a plank.pole to gt it right out to the rod tip.
