BassAkwards
How does one combat the algae bloom? What works well? Is it better to be out fishing in clearer water?
french_lake_kid
I use it to my atvantage. It seem the fish aren't spooky. If you snag a dock while fishing docks, and go to unhook it, you can still get bit out of the same dock. Thats alright with me, I will deal with the geen line, and green paint. Fever
For more vertical presentations with plastics I use DARK colors when the water is green and stained. Seems to give off more of a siluete for the bass to see. Creature baits, and larger (10 inch worms) Black, Black/blue flk, Black/red flk, Purple, Junebug.... they are still in there and they will still bite but your casts have to be more accurate and you should slow your presentation down a bit. Also, for horizontal presentations, you want alot of wobble and flash, color for this method to me takes a back seat to water displacement/vibration. Good luck... Oh, if you have a boat like mine you really don't have to worry about spraying it off. The green actually makes it look mean....
