Coach Dog
You guys are the experts, so let's have it. I shot a big old Tom this spring (24 pounds) and I still haven't done anything with it. I would like to turn it into jerky and bring it up to a fishing trip in a couple weeks. My wife won't eat it and I don't want to make the whole thing for myself, nor do I want to grill it during our trip. Does anyone have any recipes? I would like to get advice on cutting the bird (right now it is the whole bird, cleaned) and marinade and dehydrator tips. Thank you in advance. jigguy1
I would use the jerky shooter and pick up some high country jerky seasoning, or shore lunch turkey jercky seasoning. I have used these items for venison many times and it turns out great.
