DARK30
Up until about 2 years ago, I fished out of Kewaunee a few times every summer. The locals talked about ice fishing for perch in the winter. I'm wondering...Is ice fishing a big deal on Lake Michigan? Are there Walleyes in there? WET NETS!------------------cast,cast,cast,cast...... Guest
Ice fishing for jumbo perch is big time on the Green Bay side of Door County. Also, Sturgeon Bay will produce a mixed bag, including big walleyes. The surprise to most folks is the fact there is good fishing in the Harbors of Kenosha, Racine, and Milwaukee in the winter thru the ice and casting to open water off the edge of harbor ice. Some walleyes and pike are taken in Milwaukee, but the fun is catching big brown trout with occasional steelhead and cohos mixed in. The urban corridor of Milw-Chicago produces fish year round.
