The Fourth Annual Women in the Outdoors event, offered by The Border Town Toms Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, will feature fishing on Rainy Lake.

Women will meet at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Voyageurs National Park Rainy Lake Visitors Center for a half day of fishing with licensed fishing guide Renee Fuller.

Women 14 and older must contact Mickey Belanger at 285-7024 to arrange for an adequate number of boats for the events. Women must have a valid Minnesota fishing license on them Friday. WITO will supply life vests and fishing equipment, however participants may use their own gear or bring gear they want to learn to use.

Participants will return to the center mid day to learn how to fillet a fish and how to make sure there are no bones in the fillet. A Rainy Lake shorelunch will be offered.

Following lunch will be raffles, silent auction and a wrap up of the event.
