HT Intrigue's

Have any of you folks taken a look at the HT-HT-Intrigue combo-rod ... saw one at a local sport-stop. Kind of a nice idea if the rods are quality - there is a handle (10") and three different [interchangable] tip sections of varying actions it appears. All in a carrying case ... just wonder how balanced and such this might be - three rods in one, eh!

My fishing buddy got one in a Christmas name exchange. He absolutely loved it. And I say loved it because two of the rods snapped after about three ice adventures. I worked great for him at first, but it is a little questionable that a guy who never broke a rod before happened to break 2 of 3 of the interchangable ones. I have four regular HT rods and I love them. Nice backbone and very durable. I myself would buy another regular HT rod in a second, but would not buy an interchangeable one in 1 hour.

Bushwacker - thank you for the input on those HT's. I didn't do a real inpsection of the "extra" but just eye-baliing them it appeared that there was H-M-L tips there. Nice idea and package however. d:-o
