Don't want to hijack the other thread. Have an 82 shorelandr trailer that HAD original wiring and plug. It still has original wiring, but I had to put a new plug on it. Four-flat.
The old one had 5 wire connections. It has yellow, green, white, brown/yellow and brown/green (I think, can't remember exactly). I also don't know how they were hooked up to the plug, as I loaned the boat and they dragged unplugged plug, so I could not figure it out...
The new plug (for boat) has simply yellow, green, brown, white, as it was made from a simply extension.
I connected the brown/yellow and brown/green from the trailer to the brown of the plug. Green to green, yellow to yellow and white to ground.
Now all works except the side markeers. I must have messed up, the browns?... Any advice before I simply trial and error it?
Chamois passed away this weekend a couple days short of her 13th bday.
What a great dog to hang out with here at home and on distant adventures.
Gonna miss ya big time my little big girl.
