StoneLake in Washburn county

Recommended Posts

Im heading to a friends cabin this weekend on stone lake and was wondering if anyone had any tips for catching the walleyes or smallies on the lake. Checked the Wi dnr site and said both were abundant but have never fished there and my friend im going with hasnt ever been that into fishing, just hunting. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I've never fished Stone Lake so I can't help you there but you'll be in the heart of some excellent walleye fishing. A short drive down the road in either direction will get you to Whitefish, Sissabagama, LCO, Grindstone, and on the smaller size, Durphee.

If you look at the fish stocking summary, Stone's gotten quite a few over the years.
